Pwn The Net

I loved the game Earthbound back when it came out for the Super Nintendo… I have played through the game at least 10 different times and it’s quirky humor and great story keep me returning to this great RPG.

I have played through it so many times I know where almost all of the secrets are hidden (sword of kings, gusty bat, etc.). I like the game so much I even went back and played through the original mother (a translated nes rom). (Not as good as Earthbound/Mother2 IMO)

Well Nintendo released the third installment of this game in Japan, back in 2006 for the Game Boy Advance and they decided to shaft American gamers. Despite doing well in Japan, they decided not to translate the game for the US! WTF!

To make matters worse Nintendo decided that it would be appropriate to include the character Lucas (from the game Mother 3) in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, so now American gamers are asking themselves, “Who the fuck is Lucas?”

Luckily, a group of dedicated fans are translating the game, but taking their sweet time doing so. By the time they finish I would not be surprised if Nintendo tries to use legal action to prevent the translation patch from hitting the internet. Lets hope Nintendo still has one shred of common sense left and leaves these hackers alone.

When will it be finished? I hope soon.
