Pwn The Net

If you have ever tried to share large files online you have probably found it cumbersome. Two sites that I am familiar with using are Mega Upload and Rapid Share, and both of them blow ass.

The sites take your downloaders hostage…

The sites first bombard your visitors with ads. Not just any ads either: porn, gambling, prescription pills — worst type of spam.

Then they force your visitors to wait to download. If closing pop-up windows and ignoring porn wasn’t bad enough, the sites put a timer on there so you are forced wait just to download!

And like most shady business the services try to aggressively upsell you to the paid service. Do you really want to give your personal information to porn, gambling and prescription pill spammers? I sure as hell wouldn’t.

They also limit how much your visitors can download… WTF! The whole point to forcing people to put up with ads and timers is so that they could download big files… Then they screw it all up by limiting how much that they can download… unacceptable!

A much better Alternative - File Dropper

I’ve used File Dropper a few times in the past few months since learning about it on digg. It is SOOO much better. What’s great about them is that the service is available for free and the downloader does not have to pay anything. The rates very reasonable for advanced features and paid upfront by the uploader. You can be sure that the people who want your files will get them without having to put up with all the other crap. I recommend any bloggers/webmasters who want an easy way to share files try them out. You won’t regret it.
