Depleted Uranium, the leftover stuff from nuclear reactors and weapons manufacturing, is “radioactive, chemically toxic and nearly twice as dense as lead.”

The US had been making shells and the armor for tanks out of this nasty stuff for a while now. It causes tumors, cancer, birth defects and other nasty radiation related sickness.

I’m disgusted that we are using this stuff in Iraq and hope that the government at least helps veterans.
